IRN-BRU promotes anti-litter

IRN-BRU launches new initiative to encourage retailers to support and anti-litter message in partnership with environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful and the Scottish Grocers' Federation.

Scotland’s leading soft drinks manufacturer, and maker of Scotland’s other national drink IRN-BRU, has launched a new initiative encouraging retailers to support an anti-litter message in partnership with environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful and the Scottish Grocers’ Federation.

This ground-breaking initiative, led by the iconic IRN-BRU brand, promotes a strong anti-litter message and was launched at usave convenience store in Falkirk, with Ajaz Ali, the first retailer to sign up. More than 3,500 local retailers from across Scotland are being encouraged to take three small steps to help improve Scotland’s environment. The initiative will encourage local shops to...

1. sign Keep Scotland Beautiful’s “Clean Up Scotland” pledge
2. display Barr’s newly designed ‘Keep Scotland BRU-TIFUL’ window sticker, encouraging their shoppers to bin their litter
3. organise a clean up in their local community.

Retailers from across the country will receive a newly created Keep Scotland BRUTIFUL information pack which details how they can join A.G. Barr in getting involved in the campaign to help make littering unacceptable in their own neighbourhoods and encourage local residents to do their bit.

We take our environmental responsibilities seriously and want to play our part in encouraging everyone to do the right thing and dispose of litter properly. We hope that the Keep Scotland BRU-TIFUL campaign will inspire retailers and shoppers to get involved in improving their local environments and help clean up Scotland.
