AG Barr, Scotland’s leading soft drinks manufacturer, and maker of Scotland’s other nationaldrink IRN-BRU, has urged other Scottish businesses to follow its lead and pledge support for the Clean Up Scotland campaign. The campaign calls on the business community to join a coalition for action on litter and to support and protect Scotland’s natural environment.

Chief Executive, Roger White, joined 17 Barr employees in a community litter pick around the company’s Cumbernauld headquarters to show their support for the campaign. The Clean Up Scotland campaign aims to co-ordinate volunteer action to remove unsightly litter from Scotland's open spaces, while changing long-term behaviour in order to make littering unacceptable.

This significant endorsement and direct action from employees of AG Barr is a major boost forthe Keep Scotland Beautiful Clean Up campaign, which is supported by the Scottish Government, local authorities, businesses of all sizes, community groups and individuals.

As a responsible company we want to play our part in encouraging everyone to do the right thing and dispose of their litter properly. The Clean Up campaign was a great opportunity for us to put that commitment into action.
Roger White, Chief Executive
