Empowering Our People: AG Barr Announces New Localised Charitable Giving Model
At AG Barr, we believe in empowering our people to make a positive difference in the world and growing our business in a way that reflects their values.
In recent years, our corporate social responsibility efforts have been focused on a single national charity partner. However, listening to feedback from colleagues across the business, we recognised a strong desire to create a more direct, meaningful impact in the areas where we live and work.
As a result, we are proud to announce a transition to a new, localised charitable giving model.
Connecting Directly with Our Communities
Under this new approach, each of our four regional hubs has selected its own dedicated charity partner. These organisations speak directly to the needs of their respective local communities, allowing our teams to engage in more proactive, on-the-ground fundraising and volunteering.
We are delighted to introduce our new local charity partners across the UK:
-
Cumbernauld: Supporting CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland) who provide unwavering care to children who may die young.
-
Milton Keynes: Partnering with Willen Hospice, who provide free expert care and support to improve the lives of local people coping with the impact of a life-limiting illness.
-
Middlebrook: Supporting Derian House, a leader in palliative care for children and young people across the North West.
-
London: Partnering with the world-renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity) to help give seriously ill children the best chance and childhood possible.
Looking Ahead
We are incredibly proud of our colleagues for choosing such vital, life-changing causes. Our teams are eager to provide hands-on support, and we cannot wait to see the energy, dedication, and passion they bring to these new partnerships.
We look forward to sharing updates on the fantastic work happening across our sites as our people continue to drive positive change within their local communities.
