Jordan McRorie

Jordan McCrorieJordan McRorie, Demand Manager, Cumbernauld

It is fair to say that Jordan McRorie has a very demanding job … well he is the A.G. Barr Demand Manager at Cumbernauld Head Office.

Jordan (24) from Cambusnethan, near Wishaw, has to forecast what the company is going to need and when, so like all A.G. Barr employees, he needs to operate at the top of his game every day.

He said: “I work in the Supply Chain Planning team, working closely with my commercial and supply colleagues. It’s my job to forecast what we’re going to need and when. I pass my forecasts onto supply and then these quantities are produced and shipped out. If I don’t get it right then there’s nothing on the shelf.

“If someone is driven to progress and grow then this company is for them. Also, the growth is really strong and the good working environment means it ticks all the boxes. If you apply for a job here the best thing to do is show your personality. Don’t try and be something that you’re not.

“I hope AG Barr continues to grow strongly, year on year. There is so much opportunity for all of our brands."

What’s your favourite A.G. Barr product and why?

I want to say something else, but it has to be IRN-BRU, because I like it. In a glass bottle – that’s the traditional, iconic image of the drink, so I’ll go for that.

Describe A.G. Barr in five words.

A Character, Friendly, Driven, Ambitious, Quirky.

Tell us something interesting about you?

I played centre-half at Junior level for Carluke and Lesmahagow. Our biggest success was probably back-to-back promotions. I’ve started a 5-a-side league at Head Office. We do have a Scotland v England friendly annually, but this means we can play weekly.
