After just a year with the company, he has been promoted to Local Business Development Manager.

Unlike his previous job which was about selling products by phone, he now travels Central Scotland, visiting shops and selling the company’s brands, often acting as “the face of A.G. Barr.”

Farhan’s advice to anyone thinking about working for the company is simple. He said: “With the right attitude and if you’re willing to learn, great opportunities will eventually open up for you.”

"The best thing about working for A.G. Barr would have to be the people that make up the business. Since I started, everyone has been very welcoming, friendly and helpful. At A.G. Barr you are part of the family not a number."

What’s your favourite A.G. Barr product & why?

Obviously my favourite is IRN-BRU. We always had it in the fridge when I was younger and that’s what I’ve always enjoyed. That’s one of the best parts of working for Barr, the discount on the juice is really great and it saves you a lot of money!

Tell us something interesting about you?

It’s really easy for me to pick up different languages, I can speak three: Urdu, Punjabi and English, well maybe four including Scottish, since here we talk so different compared to England. I’m actually from England and moved here when I was ten so I’ve lost the accent now but I’ve found that when I talk to customers down south or my older siblings who sound English, I subconsciously switch accents.
