What we’re looking for...

We are looking for an enthusiastic Packaging Engineer with a wealth of experience who can use their expertise to complete all packaging trials and development projects to meet the present and future needs of the business. You will also ensure optimum technical effectiveness and efficiency, together with minimum environmental impact.

As the Packaging Engineer, you will support the Local Management team as well as the group Packaging group in driving up the factory OEE, whilst reducing material losses and improvement performance of the packaging material/machine interface. You will also propose and implement feasibility and cost studies relating to packaging development and improvement related subjects.

 

You will liaise with suppliers to ensure that A.G. Barr standards for packaging materials are adhered to and you will work with the management team to review and develop the HACCP system to ensure continuing compliance with the ISO standards and BRC Standard.

 

A sound knowledge of Food/Drink manufacturing is required for this role, as well as an appreciation of filling technologies, labelling, packing and palletisation. You will also be creative, innovative and have a practical approach, together with being a motivated self-starter with a good analytical approach to problem solving.
