Training and Development
Throughout the last year we have continued to improve our training and development across the business with 25 managers benefiting from our Business Leadership Programme and 9 managers participating in our First Line management programme. Another 32 employees achieved further external qualifications such as National Vocational Qualifications during the last twelve months.
We actively encourage the personal development of all our employees to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform in their current role and support any future aspirations they may have.
All of our employees have and are responsible for their own Personal Development Plan. At the beginning of our financial year, employees are encouraged to identify their development needs and produce a personal plan, in consultation with their manager, for the year ahead. Activities are then identified to help people reach their full potential and support development needs, through training programmes or coaching for example. Development plans are then continually reviewed and form a key part of our Performance Review Process.
If a training programme has been identified as a development activity our own in-house Training and Development Team offer a wide variety of internal programmes. All of our employees have access to the “Learning Guide” which details each internal programme of offer. We also utilise a range of external training providers to ensure that all development needs are catered for.
