Barr Schools Range - England

We have responded positively at each stage of the new food and drink regulations for schools in England & Wales and Scotland by developing new products to add to our existing range which meet the standards set by the Schools Food Trust for permitted soft drinks in schools.

Background

A Voluntary Code of Practice for drinks provided in schools was introduced in September 2007.

Drinks provided in schools:

• Should be additive free
• Contain no Flavourings, Colourings, Sweeteners, Fruit extracts and Preservatives (other than those permitted under existing EU regulation

Permitted drinks should fall into 2 main categories:

Simple Drinks

Water, Fruit / Vegetable Juice, Milk, Soya Milk

Combination Drinks

• Combinations of fruit / vegetable juice and water
• Combinations of milk, soya rice, or oat drink or fermented milk drink & cocoa

These form part of the Schools Food Trust Voluntary Code of Practice 2007

St Clements Squeeze

Available in 330ml cans, the St Clements Squeeze range contains 50% juice, 50% sparkling water and no additives. It comes in 3 flavours - Orange, Apple and Citrus.

St Clements Pure

Available in resealable 330ml PET, the St Clements Pure range contains 100% juice. It comes in 2 flavours - Orange and Apple. The Orange flavour contains ascorbic acid to protect the integrity of the flavour and taste which is allowed under the SFT guidelines.

St Clements Smoothies

Available in 250ml cartons, St Clements Smoothies contain 100% pure fruit and no additives. It comes in 2 flavours - Strawberry & Banana and Mango & Passionfruit.

Strathmore Spring Water

Available in 250ml still PET screw cap and sports cap and 500ml still screw cap and sports cap and sparkling PET screw cap.

Rubicon Juices

Available in 288ml cartons, Rubicon juices contain 100% juice and no additives. It comes in 2 flavours - Guava, Berry & Grape and Mango, Apple & Peach.

Available in 200ml cartons, Simply Pure contains 100% juice and no additives.
It comes in 2 flavours - Apple and Orange.
